You, your, yours etc. mean you, the customer.

  1. Prices and VAT

Please note that the prices on our grocery website are suppliers’ provided prices only as the actual price of each product during delivery might change. The actual price you will be charged is the current price at the selected supermarkets and stores at the time your order is picked up. The actual order value cannot be determined until the delivery date because the prices stated on the website may be either above or below the prices in each supermarket on the day your order is collected for delivery. If the price change is above 15 % during the date of delivery, we will inform you about any price changes on your selected grocery items before we confirm the delivery.

All prices on our web page are inclusive of 15 % VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of the items does not include service charges which to be calculated at the rate applicable to the date & time of your delivery.

  1. Availability of products

To supply all the products you need and fulfill your demand, we have established strong partnerships with well-known supermarkets and stores in Addis Ababa. If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will not be held liable to you. Please note that we will attempt to deliver substitute products in case selected products are unavailable, based on your pre approval. Thus, we will communicate available options before we proceed.

Although we will always try to cater for your orders, an order for large quantities of a product can only be fulfilled at the discretion of the supermarkets and stores. For example, if you make an order of 100 bottles of wine which could use up the entire supermarket’s stock, the supermarkets/Stores may choose to deliver only 50 bottles. However, we will communicate those things before we proceed.

  1. Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy from the available supermarkets or stores through us. A contract is only completed when we notify you that we have accepted your offer and inform you the exact price of your order after which you give us the green light to process your order. At any point up until such time, we may decline to accept your order.

Kedame Gebeya online grocery shopping service is available for non-commercial and domestic use only. We reserve the right to refuse orders from businesses or those we consider are for commercial or other non-domestic uses.

Please note, in order to ensure availability of all our products, supermarkets and stores may limit the maximum number of items that an individual customer can order.

  1. Service Charges

Service charge: – means service fee we collect from our clients for the service provided. Our service charge is calculated using a table rate based on the Basket value of each order.

  1. Purchase of Alcoholic Beverages

 You may not legally order any alcoholic beverages unless you are Twenty One (21) years and above. Furthermore, you cannot purchase alcoholic beverages for anyone who is under Twenty One (21). The person receiving delivery of alcoholic beverages must present identification card or proof of age and is required to sign an acknowledgment of receipt in order to receive the alcoholic beverages. Kedame Gebeya reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove alcoholic beverages, or cancel orders at its sole discretion. Please note that the sale and delivery of beer, wine, and spirits is currently available only in Addis Ababa. Alcoholic beverages may be removed from your cart during the checkout process if your service area is not eligible for delivery of alcoholic beverages. Kedame Gebeya reserves the right not to deliver alcoholic beverages to certain buildings.

  1. Delivery

Delivery will be made to the address specified by you at the completed order form. We will deliver your order to the main entrance of the delivery address. Please note that we deliver goods only to specified locations within Addis Ababa. Delivery times will be agreed with you at the time of placing your order.

All goods must be signed for upon delivery by an adult, aged 18 years and above. If proof is not available and there is no-one of that age at the address when delivery is being made, the goods may be retained by the driver. If we attempt to deliver your order to the delivery address as arranged with you but there is nobody to receive the order, the driver will leave a notification of attempted delivery and you will need to contact our Customer Service Center to re-arrange delivery (see below for contact details). In these circumstances, if we have to return to deliver the goods, there will be further charges provided that delivery is attempted at the agreed time.

While we make every effort to deliver all your goods at the agreed time, however, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.

  1. Returns and Refunds

If you find that any of the products you purchased are faulty or damaged, we may give you guarantee return of the product depending on the guarantee provided by the vendor supermarkets/stores and will get you a full refund, repair or replacement accordingly.

When can you return goods?

You can return faulty goods to the delivery driver or email to the team through order@kedamegebeya.com or call us at 0970 69 69 69. When you return the goods to us, please also let us have any tags, labels and any accessories that were brought with the product. You will need to take reasonable care of the item(s) while they remain in your possession (reasonable care includes inspecting the item, but would not extend to your opening and/or using it). If you damage the items whilst they are in your possession, there might not be a refund of your money and this will be determined by the seller Supermarket or Store.

  1. Cancellation

You can cancel or change any of your orders up until the amendment cut off point specified in your order confirmation. You can make changes to your order by going to ‘My Account’ and clicking on ‘My grocery orders’, and finally cancel this order. Alternatively, you can call our Customer Services department on 0970 69 69 69. Please be informed that, for improvement of our service quality all telephone conversations will be recorded. Please note that orders cannot be cancelled via email.

  1. Payment

You can pay to us by direct credit or transfer in to our ETB bank account or cash on delivery during the delivery of the products. If you order is more than 2,000 ETB we might ask you an advance deposit or bank transfer into our account. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.
